Our global retailer client is looking for a strategic and driven Campaign Manager to join their dynamic marketing team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing cutting-edge advertising campaigns that drive conversions and elevate brand visibility. As a Campaign Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the planning, execution, and optimization of omnichannel advertising campaigns. Collaborating closely with sales and account management teams, you’ll craft data-driven strategies that align with client objectives and deliver measurable results. Your deep understanding of various media channels, from paid search and programmatic display to social media and emerging platforms, will enable you to create impactful campaigns that reach target audiences and maximize ROI. You’ll also be a key point of contact for external partners, providing expert guidance and support throughout the campaign lifecycle.
PLEASE NOTE: This role is hybrid, 3 days onsite in Chicago.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic marketing campaigns across multiple channels, acting as a consultative expert for both managed and self-service campaigns.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on media planning, audience strategy, and platform activation, providing valuable insights and guidance to internal teams.
- Lead client and agency calls, showcasing your expertise in media tactics, audience strategy, campaign stewardship, and ad serving platforms.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of various media types, including paid search, programmatic display, direct digital sponsorships, connected TV (CTV), social media, and experiential marketing tactics.
- Apply your knowledge of the purchase funnel to develop campaigns that effectively target audiences at each stage, from awareness to conversion.
- Collaborate with sales and account management teams to create data-driven media proposals that achieve client goals and maximize budget efficiency.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance the Campaign Management organization and drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Communicate campaign performance metrics, insights, and optimization recommendations to internal and external stakeholders through regular reporting and presentations.
- Identify opportunities for incremental revenue growth based on campaign performance, testing, and seasonal trends.
- Partner with media insights teams to analyze campaign data and generate actionable insights.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail and adhere to best practices throughout the campaign lifecycle, ensuring seamless campaign launches and a high-quality advertiser experience.
- Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external teams, providing exceptional client service and fostering collaborative partnerships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to effectively traffic campaigns across various ad technology environments.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in bid management, campaign management/optimization, or digital media operations across various platforms (paid search, programmatic display, social media, etc.).
- Strong understanding of digital media metrics (CPM, ROAS, CPC, CTR, etc.) and the ability to analyze media math to inform optimization strategies.
- Client-facing experience with a proven ability to identify and mitigate risks, develop effective solutions, and communicate proactively.
- Intellectual curiosity and a passion for learning new ad platforms and media tactics.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and navigate ambiguity effectively.
- Strong sense of ownership, proactive approach, and bias for action.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide expert advice on media best practices and identify areas of opportunity.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
- Understanding of traditional and interactive media planning elements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience managing and/or consulting on digital campaigns across display, video, social, search, and experiential marketing.
- Extensive experience and expertise in programmatic advertising, including knowledge of DSPs, DMPs, and ad exchanges.
- Proven track record of developing strategies that influence advertiser investment in media/advertising.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $47.52 to $52.80 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
