GREAT Design Researcher III OPPORTUNITY

100% onsite in Bentonville, Arkansas

We are looking for a Design Researcher III to join our team and play a pivotal role in understanding our users and translating their needs into impactful product and design strategies. In this role, you will be instrumental in conducting in-depth user research, fostering strong stakeholder relationships, and driving the delivery of user-centric solutions.

What you’ll do:
User Discovery & Research:

Conduct comprehensive user interviews and surveys to gather insights into user requirements.

Assist in creating and visualizing user journeys and storyboards to map out user experiences.

Perform contextual inquiries to understand users in their natural environments.

Conduct preliminary activities to support user research and user experience strategy development.

Develop a deep understanding of trends in user consumption habits.

Explore user problems and content requirements, identifying what elements are needed to meet user needs.

Analyze qualitative user data with guidance to extract meaningful insights.

Design Research & Analysis:

Independently propose hypotheses for research studies.

Provide input to modify research approaches and execution plans.

Guide research processes by offering insights on the type, quality, and quantity of data to be collected.

Verify the reliability and accuracy of information through detailed checks.

Detect and address any gaps or inconsistencies in information, removing unreliable data.

Analyze and interpret relevant data to identify key results and insights.

Translate research insights and metrics into actionable recommendations that inform design and business strategies.

Managing Functional Partnerships & Influencing Stakeholders:

Understand the interests and profiles of key stakeholders to effectively manage functional relationships.

Analyze stakeholder technical needs and collaborate to share relevant information.

Engage with internal and external business partners regularly, establishing credibility through effective functional information exchange.

Communicate articulately and concisely in multi-team stakeholder meetings.

Convey complex information and address ambiguity to support robust technology development.

Build productive, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the organization.

Influence teams and stakeholders to take meaningful action by providing sound recommendations.

Independently prepare clear, concise, logically structured, and fact-based reports and materials.

Seek and provide constructive feedback, anticipate needs and questions, and respond appropriately.

Driving Customer/Client Needs & Usability Testing:

Seek and analyze user feedback to identify areas for improvement in products, services, and offerings.

Identify potential process improvements to reduce turnaround times and enhance customer experiences.

Understand the basics of testing against design specifications.

Identify major activities and documentation associated with user acceptance testing.

Explain the features and objectives of alpha and beta tests, and compile procedures and guidelines for test developers and end-users.

Leadership & Compliance:

Provide expert advice and guidance on the application of information and best practices, supporting efforts to meet customer and business needs.

Support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships, identifying needs, monitoring progress, and adapting to changes.

Model compliance with company policies and procedures, demonstrating and assisting others in applying ethical business practices.

What you’ll bring:
Demonstrated knowledge of user experience strategies, user interviews, surveys, user journeys, storyboards, and contextual inquiries.

Strong understanding of stakeholder identification, mapping, analysis, communication, and engagement techniques.

Proficiency in principles of research, qualitative and quantitative research best practices, and data analysis techniques.

Ability to detect information gaps, verify data reliability, and resolve inconsistencies.

Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication styles.

Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.

Knowledge of customer and business problems, journey mapping, and process optimization.

Familiarity with user profiles, testing scenarios, documentation, and test plans related to usability testing.

Fluency in specialized business vernacular and a deep understanding of market dynamics to deliver customer and business value.

Ability to adapt style and best practices to accommodate cultural differences.
