The Principal UX Designer will lead and support the strategy and design for omni-channel commerce products and experiences. You will bring together retail and consumer services for customers as they interact with the company online, in mobile apps or visiting stores. This work will allow you to innovate and directly impact the millions of customers who are served every day. The goal is to create a hyper-personalized experience that is so indispensable that customers can’t live without it. You’ll support the vision for the best customer experience and create a space for cross-functional colleagues to collaborate. You will use your knowledge of the Design Thinking process to collaborate with partner teams, facilitate conversations, create concepts, run design sprints, and build rapid prototypes to leverage the collective creativity. NOTE: this role is 100% onsite, 5 days/week in Bentonville, Arkansas. Relocation assistance will be provided. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Designing best-in-class product experiences with a focus on craft.
  • Partnering with design research, product managers, and engineers to create insightful design solutions.
  • Constantly balancing business goals with user needs.
  • Rapid prototyping and experimenting in a fast-paced environment.
  • Multitasking across different projects and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Creating scalable experiences in partnership with the Design System team.
  • Championing the Design Thinking philosophy throughout the business.

Requirements:

* An outstanding portfolio of elegant design solutions and case studies, including native mobile app designs.

* A strategic mindset and a systems thinking approach to taking the complex and making it simple.
* Ability to articulate design rationale and influence decision-making with multiple stakeholders.
* A strong point of view and an effective champion for design and inclusive experiences.
* A track record working cross-functionally and shipping successful ecommerce products.
* Ability to produce great work in short timeframes and adapt to the ever-changing priorities of the business.
* A strong understanding of Design Thinking principles and practices.
* Experience with Design Sprints and Customer Journey Mapping.
* The ability to see problems from various angles and create well-rounded solutions.

MUST-HAVES: 

7+ years of experience in UX design.
