We are looking for a Demand Planner for our global retail client for a 9 month engagement based in Beaverton, OR. In this role you’ll partner with key teams, drive consumer-focused inventory strategies, optimizing product flow, and maximize sales. This role offers a unique opportunity to blend data analysis with strategic decision-making, contributing to the financial health and consumer satisfaction of a leading brand, through Aquent.
As a Demand Planner, you will be instrumental in shaping the supply chain, ensuring the right products reach the right places at the right time. You will collaborate with various teams, including Assortment Planning, Merchandising, and Commercial Planning, to develop and execute strategic inventory plans. Your analytical skills and understanding of consumer demand will be essential in achieving key financial targets and driving overall business success.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and execute seasonal flow and allocation plans, considering consumer trends, store-level strategies, and revenue drivers.
- Manage style/color/size level inventory, adjusting allocations based on weekly performance and sales data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify and execute in-season opportunities to maximize full-price sales and minimize lost demand.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and weeks of supply across all locations.
- Influence pre-season order entry by identifying size curve opportunities.
- Support new store openings with timely and accurate allocation strategies.
- Partner with Merchandise Planning and Merchandising teams to prioritize product allocation across channels.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or a combination of equivalent education, experience, and training.
- A minimum of two years of directly relevant work experience in allocation planning or a related field.
- Proven ability to analyze data, draw meaningful conclusions, and communicate complex information effectively to various audiences.
- Solid understanding of financial planning, product management, and inventory control principles.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management or Merchandising.
- Experience with data analytics tools and techniques.
- Strong ability to influence team decisions and drive consensus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other Windows-based programs.
- Prior experience in a retail environment, either in-store or in a corporate function.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $31.68 to $35.21 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
