Your expertise in online systems and multiplayer game modes will directly impact the success of exciting game projects.

The Development Support team member works with development teams to provide early testing, documentation creation (eg. test cases and test briefs, QA Confluence pages), and handles basically anything that could potentially keep a Core QA team member out of the game. They provide feedback to the QA Leads on the health of their area/feature(s) and to the development team on the testing of their area/feature(s). They are the primary contact for our QA team, fielding design questions from Core QA and are the initial development teams first point of contact for asks on the status of testing, or to adjust the testing Core QA needs to complete.

As a key member of the Development Support team, you will:

  • Collaborate with development teams to conduct early testing of online features and multiplayer game modes.
  • Create comprehensive documentation, including test cases, test briefs, and knowledge-base articles.
  • Provide feedback to QA Leads and development teams on the health and testing status of specific areas/features.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the QA team, addressing design questions and clarifying testing requirements.
  • Work closely with development teams to adjust testing strategies and ensure effective QA coverage.
  • Proactively identify and communicate potential issues that could impact the quality or stability of online gameplay.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience across multiple development cycles, with a focus on multiplayer game modes and online systems.
  • Deep understanding of network and connectivity testing, including lag & latency testing, matchmaking and disconnection scenarios, and synchronization and replication.
  • Strong grasp of online gameplay mechanics and client-server interactions.
  • Proven ability to write clear, actionable testing instructions and briefs.
  • Skill in accurately estimating testing efforts and scoping work.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and continuously improve technical and soft skills.
