We are looking for an Apparel Designer for a 6-month engagement onsite in Beaverton, OR. Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in Women’s Apparel and knit design experience. 

Responsibilities:

  • Envisions and drives revolutionary knit concepts and capabilities that push the boundaries of performance, perception, sustainability, and future manufacture.
  • Build & Lead Apparel knitwear and engineered textiles
  • Elevates the product experience with a focus on both the art and science of knit.
  • Drive Knit Innovation Excellence through the connection of design, development and Manufacturing.
  • Envisions and Creates the future of knit of Athletes*
  • Elevate the consumer experience through superior product craft
  • Leads with creativity and passion to ensure innovation platforms deliver new performance and aesthetic distinction.

Experience:

  • Apparel Design for knitwear including concepts and capabilities.
  • Deep knit expertise (seamless + flat knit) with thorough understanding of fabric characteristics, knit technology, materials, and constructions.
  • Strong technical narrative + storytelling on how knit concepts and capabilities can elevate the experience and performance of products.
  • Builds in-depth awareness and research of current knit innovation and technologies in the industry and material trends to keep on top of consumer needs.
  • Supports and leverages digital tools for efficiency (illustrator + clo)
  • Collaborates with FoP Design, Development, PCC, Product management and delivers solutions for projects and concepts.
  • 5+ YOE in women’s apparel design
  • Knit design background – has designed knit structures, engineered textile knowledge, and has knowledge of performance of materials
  • Experience in women’s apparel, performance garments, and a clear sense of style

Ideal Candidate:

  • Seamless product design in active wear
  • Strong technical and storytelling skills in design
  • Illustrator and CLO (or willing to learn CLO)

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $49.79 to $55.33 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
