As a Usability Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in understanding listener behavior and shaping the future of audio entertainment. Your insights will directly influence marketing strategies, content development, sales initiatives, and product enhancements, ensuring the studio continues to deliver exceptional listening experiences.

As a key member of the Analytics & Research team, you will:

  • Spearhead research studies across marketing, content, sales, and product teams, encompassing episode testing, promotional effectiveness, audience analysis, and user experience research.
  • Manage regular data reporting and distribution for ongoing research projects, ensuring stakeholders have access to critical insights.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand their research needs and translate them into actionable research plans.
  • Oversee all aspects of qualitative and quantitative research studies, from design and fieldwork to analysis and reporting.
  • Synthesize research findings and present data-driven recommendations to key stakeholders, influencing strategic decision-making.
  • Lead meetings and initiatives with senior internal and external stakeholders, effectively communicating research insights and their implications.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of hands-on experience in both qualitative and quantitative primary research (survey design, statistical proficiency, data analysis).
  • Proven experience in market research or consumer insights within the entertainment industry or a research agency.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various market research methodologies and their practical applications.
  • Proficiency in conducting independent research using internal tools, including questionnaire design, programming, quality control, data processing, and reporting.
  • Strong statistical analysis skills and the ability to explain complex statistical concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to leverage data for problem-solving and scaling research efforts.
  • Adaptability and responsiveness in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
  • Strong client management skills and the ability to tailor communication styles to diverse stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Avid podcast listener.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $45.70 to $50.78 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
