A Change Manager provides people-centric change management support to one or more initiatives, enabling the people who are impacted to successfully navigate and embrace the change. Follows change management methodology and produces standard change management deliverables such as change-related assessments, plans, and report-outs, designs multiple ways to engage with audiences, and ensures effective feedback loops and metrics to gauge success. Able to facilitate process-related info gathering and/or discussions and create process maps. Works in partnership with project managers, sponsors, project team members, subject matter experts, communications and learning specialists, and external vendors. Regularly keeps leaders apprised of status, progress, roadblocks, help needed, etc. Able to successfully work both independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities:
- Works on large-scale change leading the change management work, which often includes organizational change management components.
- Performs complex assessments, including pulling together disparate pieces into a cohesive approach.
- Performs mid-level process work, including facilitating workshops, guiding the team to make process decisions, and partnering with process specialists where applicable.
- Creates communications and/or learning materials of moderate complexity for internal use.
- Provides guidance to less experienced change managers and specialists.
- May manage a portfolio of change management work, which may include aligning change workstreams, allocating change management tasks and resources, and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and achievement of business outcomes.
Experience:
- 7 years’ experience leading change in a full-time role as a Change Manager, in complex work.
- Excellent demonstrated skills in all facets of change management including assessment, planning, design, execution, sustainment, and nurturing influencers to lead change within their organizations.
- Strong experience in organizational change management.
- Strong demonstrated skills in process identification and documentation.
- Strong skills in delivering learning via in-person and virtual formats.
- Advanced skills in absorbing new information and specialized jargon and identifying connections between disconnected elements.
- Able to use company’s change management framework and standards, while also using sound judgment to meet the needs of the project.
- Able to balance competing priorities and help the team to do the same.
- Able to build strong relationships and partner effectively with others to get work done.
- Able to work successfully with people at all levels of the company and work in a team with union-represented employees, non-union employees, other contractors, and outside vendors.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, and able to proactively lead themselves and the team to concrete decisions and actions.
- Able to work autonomously in highly complex and nuanced environments, and exercise excellent professional judgment.
- Able to create change management- and/or process-related materials of moderate complexity with professional polish suitable for internal use, utilizing PowerPoint, Word, Excel and other standard software tools.
- Experience with basic functions in Smartsheet or willingness to learn.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Hybrid remote and on-site in SeaTac, WA; in the office for in-person work typically 3 days per week.
Ideal Candidate:
- Recent experience with corporations (rather than non-profit, NGO, government, or academia).
- Experience in aviation.
- Experience with complex, multi-phase transformations.
- Experince introducing change management to an organization.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $117.51 to $130.57 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
