Aquent has an exciting opportunity for an Experience Designer!

While this position is 100% remote, it is required that you currently live in the United States.  Out-of-country applications will not be considered.

In addition, to be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be authorized to work in the United States
  • Not require sponsorship of any kind for the duration of the assignment
  • Be able to work on a W-2 basis.  C2C or 1099 is not permitted for this position
  • Be able to showcase your work through case studies and/or portfolio:
    • Portfolio must highlight your experience working on both web-based and native mobile (iOS and Android) projects.  Any eCommerce projects are a plus!
    • Portfolio must be narrative in nature, showing your design process and not just finished screens.

**About the Opportunity**

We are seeking a talented individual to solve complex business challenges while championing the user experience. You will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, applying your empathy, creative problem-solving skills, and technical design expertise to drive significant improvements in our digital offerings. **What You’ll Do**

* Advocate for users and solve complex business challenges through thoughtful design.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to scale digital solutions across various platforms.
* Enhance user flows based on comprehensive research and user-centered design processes.
* Lead and execute design activities including journey mapping, design research, wireframing, and prototyping.
* Ensure designs align with brand standards and UI guidelines, producing both low and high-fidelity visual designs.
* Apply principles of data visualization and visual hierarchy to create clear and effective designs.
* Drive and deliver design projects from initial concepts through to successful hand-off and launch.
* Communicate user needs effectively, leveraging storytelling and data to demonstrate how proposed designs solve real problems for internal teams and senior partners.
* Collaborate with accessibility teams to ensure solutions are inclusive and adhere to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).

**What You’ll Bring**

**Required Qualifications:**

* Minimum of 7 years of experience in UX, with a blended UX/UI design background.
* Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
* A proven track record of driving and delivering design from initial concepts all the way to hand-off and successful launch.
* A strong portfolio showcasing examples of mobile web, desktop, and other digital experiences.
* Strong knowledge of material design and native patterns, including native app design for iOS and Android.
* Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and other web technologies.
* Experience working within an Agile or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Methodology.
* A deep understanding of design systems and component-based design.
* Expertise in UI design, including a strong grasp of visual hierarchy, spacing, and typography.
* Knowledgeable about Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) and experienced in collaborating with accessibility teams.

**Education/Equivalent Experience:**

* Bachelor’s degree in Design, User Experience, Graphic Design, Information Design, Product Design, Human Factors, or equivalent/relevant work experience.

**What Will Set You Apart:**

* Experience within regulated industries, particularly healthcare or insurance, is highly valued.
* Exceptional communication skills, including comfort with uncertainty, strong collaboration, and a curious mindset.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $65.00 to $70.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
