We are seeking a Marketing Copywriter to join our expanding Marketing department on a part-time, 20-hour/week remote schedule, working during MST hours. Reporting to the Associate Copy Director, this role will play a critical part in shaping the voice and storytelling across our portfolio of brands. The Marketing Copywriter will collaborate closely with Brand, Creative, Digital Marketing, Production, and Project Management to deliver compelling copy that elevates campaigns, packaging, and digital experiences. The ideal candidate writes with creativity and precision and has experience in developing, managing, and evolving a brand voice and brand voice guide. Experience applying these skills across multiple brands is highly valued. This role requires strong collaboration, adaptability to different audiences and channels, and a passion for building brand consistency at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Campaign Copywriting
- Develop brand-aligned messaging for marketing campaigns, product launches, and omni-channel go-to-market initiatives.
- Partner with designers, art directors, and brand managers to craft compelling headlines, taglines, and brand storytelling.
Brand Voice Development & Governance
- Contribute to the creation, documentation, and refinement of brand voice guidelines.
- Ensure consistency of voice across packaging, campaigns, digital platforms, and internal/external communications.
- Educate stakeholders on brand voice and provide editorial guidance during reviews.
Digital & Social Copywriting
- Write engaging copy for websites, e-commerce PDPs, SEO content, email, and paid social ads.
- Collaborate with Digital Marketing and Social teams to adapt messaging for specific channels while maintaining brand integrity.
Packaging & Product Copywriting
- Draft and proof packaging copy that balances creativity, clarity, and compliance.
- Partner with Prepress, Design, and Regulatory to ensure accuracy across dielines, labels, and product documentation.
Content Development & Process
- Manage assignments and revisions within ClickUp and Air to support feedback, approvals, and asset workflows.
- Maintain a library of copy assets and help scale editorial standards across the marketing function.
- Edit and proof copy for grammatical accuracy, readability, and brand tone.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field.
- 3–5 years of professional copywriting experience, preferably in consumer products, retail, or agency environments.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage brand voice and brand voice guides; multi-brand experience is a strong plus.
- Strong portfolio showing ability to write across campaigns, packaging, digital, and social channels.
- Excellent collaboration skills; proven success working with design, brand, and production teams.
- Proficiency with workflow tools such as ClickUp and Air (or similar project/asset management platforms).
- Exceptional grammar, editing, and attention to detail.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment with shifting priorities.
