We are seeking an exceptional Project Management professional to spearhead enterprise-wide, cross-functional strategic initiatives. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact, leading complex projects that deliver substantial business value and operational efficiency. Your expertise will be crucial in orchestrating the successful delivery of new products, services, and critical infrastructure upgrades, directly influencing our client’s growth and innovation. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects are delivered with the highest caliber, directly contributing to the company’s success and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Define, plan, orchestrate, and deliver strategic initiatives, encompassing business, operational, and information technology components.
- Ensure project outcomes are of the highest quality, with clearly defined scope and quantifiable business benefits.
- Direct large-scale, complex projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage all aspects of the project life cycle, overseeing all phases from initiation to closure.
- Rigorously manage project scope to meet commitments within agreed-upon time, cost, and quality parameters.
- Validate financial forecasts, cost assumptions, and provide ongoing reconciliation of resources and expenditures.
- Define and track project milestones, developing, maintaining, and reporting on an integrated delivery plan.
- Collaborate with product owners and agile teams to track development milestones and support agile practices.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of project management experience, leading multiple large, complex, and cross-functional projects, with emphasis on full budget management, software and product development, systems, and technical environments.
- Proven ability to quickly build relationships and earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders.
- Adept at mobilizing and motivating teams, setting direction, resolving conflict, and delivering difficult messages with grace.
- Extensive knowledge and expertise in utilizing project management tools.
- Experience with and understanding of various software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum.
- Active role in a scaled agile transformation (ideally with a framework like SAFe).
- Ability to execute effectively with limited information and in ambiguous situations.
- Skilled in navigating highly matrixed organizations.
- Sound business and technical acumen.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with clarity and precision at all levels.
- A focused and versatile team player, comfortable performing under pressure.
- Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering complex projects.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- BA/BS Degree strongly preferred or comparable work experience.
Desired Qualifications:
- PMP or PMI-ACP certification.
- Knowledge of agile project management tools and collaboration platforms.
- Background in the financial services industry, including trading experience.
- Release Train Engineer experience.
