You’ll not only contribute to key projects but also influence the strategic direction of digital offerings, making a tangible difference for a vast user base.

**What You’ll Do:**

* **Interaction Design Strategy:**
* Apply a deep understanding of user interface patterns and behaviors to enhance user comprehension and task performance.
* Utilize visualizations and interactions to facilitate analytic thinking, especially with large data sets.
* Lead design critiques, evaluate interactions for inclusivity, and provide expert guidance to cross-functional teams.
* Facilitate dynamic ideation sessions and collaborative work activities to foster innovation.
* Serve as the interaction design subject-matter expert for the product design team, guiding best practices and strategic decisions.

* **Interaction Artifact Creation:**
* Inform design decisions by applying comprehensive interaction design theory, research data, and best practices.
* Design complex artifacts that effectively communicate task flows, touchpoints, user behaviors, and information exchange.
* Develop complex low-fidelity sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to explore, communicate, and validate design ideas.
* Create sophisticated prototypes to provide precise delivery specifications for development teams.
* Present interaction design work clearly and persuasively to senior stakeholders.

* **Research and Testing:**
* Facilitate and lead usability testing sessions to gather critical user feedback.
* Actively participate in or initiate research activities to uncover user needs and insights.
* Conduct competitive audits and research interaction design strategies within the sector to inform design choices.
* Perform detailed pattern, micro-interaction, and component design audits to ensure consistency and quality.

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing usable interfaces across multiple channels and platforms.
* Proven experience in an applied research setting, including successfully integrating user research into product designs and design practices.
* Demonstrated ability to articulate design strategy, rationale, and logic, clearly describing benefits and highlighting risks associated with design decisions.
* Expertise with leading design, prototyping, and research tools such as Figma, Mural, and UserTesting.com.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**

* MA/MS degree or certification in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field.
* Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of various research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase.
* An appreciation for the potential and application of ‘design thinking’ methodologies.
* Experience working within a large organization and within an agile environment.
