This is a hybrid position based in Redmond, WA. The expectation is 3 days a week onsite. The position will start as a 9 month engagement but is expected to extend to 18 months.

About the Role

As a key contributor, you will lead the charge in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for advanced operational software implementations. This high-impact role involves driving the successful onboarding and process validation for a new logistics hub, working with a leading enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and associated tools. You will be at the heart of ensuring that new systems meet stringent business requirements, collaborating with diverse teams and shaping the operational landscape. This is a long-term opportunity, offering significant influence and exposure within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic UAT Leadership: Guide and execute comprehensive UAT processes for critical software implementations, ensuring robust testing and validation.
  • Resource and Planning Management: Lead resource planning and deployment for UAT, collaborating with project teams and test leads to develop effective UAT approaches and support setup.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with business teams, engineering teams, and suppliers to coordinate UAT activities and align on role boundaries and resolutions.
  • Test Plan Development & Execution: Develop, document, and manage detailed UAT test plans, test scripts, and report on findings, ensuring adequate test coverage and independent script reviews.
  • Environment and Data Readiness: Ensure the readiness of test environments and data, coordinating with stakeholders to track UAT requirements and progress.
  • Progress Tracking & Reporting: Manage UAT progress, report status and issues to program stakeholders, and coordinate defect resolution and retesting to secure user approval of test results.
  • Risk Mitigation & Validation: Create execution plans and risk mitigation strategies, validating that test scenarios align precisely with business requirements.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Transfer:** Oversee the complete documentation of UAT activities, including logging gaps, documenting change requests, and driving defect tracking and clear communications.
  • Post-UAT Activities: Facilitate knowledge transfer, prepare and transfer time-bound deliverables, and provide valuable feedback in the form of a Best Practices and Recommendations summary.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Expertise: Minimum 5 years of direct experience leading UATs in complex software implementations.
  • SAP: Minimum 3–5 years, hands-on experience with SAP in operational or testing contexts.
  • Excel: Minimum 3–5 years, advanced use for process mapping and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to guide teams through testing phases and foster effective cross-team collaboration.
  • Proven track record of successful UAT delivery.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Experience leading multiple UATs across various programs and industries.
  • Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
