Ready to make a visible impact? In this exciting role, you will be the sole guardian of a suite of large-format printers, ensuring seamless operation and troubleshooting any technical hiccups. You’ll be the go-to expert, providing top-notch customer service and technical support to designers across various studios. Your proactive approach and problem-solving skills will be essential in maintaining the smooth flow of creative output, directly contributing to the development of next-generation vehicles.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide technical and customer service support for plotting workflows across design disciplines.
- Maintain the daily operations and health of multiple large format printers.
- Perform regular printer maintenance, including replenishing consumables and managing supplies.
- Monitor printer service and respond to customer issues and needs, utilizing remote support resources to resolve problems efficiently.
- Escalate complex technical issues to onsite technicians or internal IT support as needed.
- Perform basic printer installations, configure IP addresses, download printer drivers, and provide user training.
- Manage printer asset inventories and ensure all records are up-to-date.
- Proactively communicate the status of problem resolution to customers.
- Provide regular updates to the printer vendor as needed.
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years of experience in customer service, print services, academic technology, or IT support.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Experience supporting large format printers.
- Strong eye for detail, organization, and project management.
- Self-motivated and ability to work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $18.00/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
