This is a remote role based in Seattle.
Pay Range: $55/hr – $65/hr
As a Franchise User Researcher on the Performance & Insights team at a AAA game studio, this role will be directly responsible for ensuring that the team generates and delivers consistently excellent player feedback to games teams.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate research projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
- Present and explain research results, reports and findings to clients.
- Recruit research participants and ensure their engagement in franchise game research.
- Conduct research on consumer opinions and marketing strategies, collaborating with marketing professionals, statisticians, pollsters, and other professionals.
- Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting data, such as surveys, opinion polls, or questionnaires, or arrange to obtain Confer with management, production and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
- Ensure action is taken on research outcomes by evangelizing and tracking outcomes committed to by product/games teams.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Strong research skills and knowledge.
Candidate Requirements
- 8-10 years of experience required for the role
- Master’s degree in psychology, human-computer interaction, or a related field is required. (PhD preferred)
- Hands-on experience in the game industry—such as creating research materials like surveys, conducting studies, and reporting findings to teams or product management—will not be eligible for the role.
- The ideal candidate has experience with as a games user researcher end to end on a multi player – first person shooter, experience shipping a game.
- Performance will be assessed based on quality of work, meeting deadline, and feedback from the team
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $55/hr – $65/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
