This is a US-based remote position. It will start as a 9 month contract and could extend up to 18 months.

Join a leading tech company as a key player in their cloud division’s financial success! As a Budget Analyst, you’ll be directly involved in shaping budget strategies and optimizing resource allocation for a wide range of teams. This is your chance to make a tangible impact on the company’s financial performance and collaborate with teams across engineering, finance, procurement, and more.

As a Budget Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the budget requests from beginning to end, utilizing tools like PowerBI, Excel, and other reporting methods. You’ll dive deep into financial performance data, assess project progress against budget, and develop streamlined processes for budget management, with a focus on subscription spending. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a variety of teams and gain broad exposure to different aspects of the business.
 

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage budget requests from inception to completion.
  • Analyze financial performance data and track project spending against budget.
  • Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards for budget tracking and reporting.
  • Design and implement streamlined processes for budget management, specifically focusing on subscription spend.
  • Collaborate with engineering, finance, procurement, and other teams to ensure alignment on budget strategies.
  • Identify potential budget overruns and propose solutions.
  • Document business processes and best practices for budget management.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in budget management within the enterprise technology sector.
  • 8+ years of advanced Excel and PowerBI experience.
  • 6+ years of experience improving processes related to subscriptions and subscription spend.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience working with a variety of stakeholders across different departments.
