As a Power and Signal Distribution (PASD)/Wiring Systems Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of electric vehicles. Join a dynamic team at a leading automotive manufacturer, partnering with Aquent, and contribute your expertise to the design and development of cutting-edge high-voltage wiring systems. Your work will directly impact the performance, safety, and efficiency of next-generation electric vehicles, including Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs), Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs), and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs).

Be a Driving Force in Electric Vehicle Innovation

In this exciting role, you will be responsible for the design and release of high-voltage wiring harness assemblies and related components. You’ll collaborate with a talented team of engineers to create and validate designs, ensuring seamless integration into the vehicle’s electrical system. Your contributions will be essential to the successful launch of innovative electric vehicles that are transforming the automotive landscape.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and release high-voltage wiring harness assemblies and related components.
  • Coordinate drawing creation and CAD release.
  • Validate released components in vehicle and component environments.
  • Support manufacturing facilities throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Manage a supplier engineering support team.
  • Work effectively within corporate computer systems to manage substantial amounts of data.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • 1-2 years of experience in high-voltage transportation wiring design and release or vehicle electrical systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, including writing, presentation, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Training in DFMEA, DVP&R, and DFSS.
  • Working knowledge of CAD systems (NX, Catia).
  • Fluency in Italian or Spanish.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing facilities.
  • Familiarity with wiring harness drawings and specifications for automotive applications.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint data management environments.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $41.38 to $45.98 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
