Summary:
The main function of a Claims Auditor is to review and conduct audits at dealerships to ensure warranty compliance with regulations and company standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with dealers to review dealer documents on warranties to verify repairs.
- Work with dealers onsite to look at documentation to make claims compliant.
- Creaet system-generated reports tp electronically process audits at their home location.
- Travel during the week to attend in-person dealer audits, (averaging around 25-30 weeks of the year/3-4 days per week during weeks of travel).
- Bring your background in fixed operations/warranty auditing to this role for the best candidate profile.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
- 2-4 years applicable experience required
- Fixed Operations/Dealer experience
- Knowledgeable with warranty claims
Other information:
• Auditor will work independently, but will receive training (mostly remote)
• Training duration is approximately 1 month, depending on candidates’ experience and understanding
This role requires extensive travel (25- 30 weeks out of the year). The Auditor will perform onsite and electronic audits, 1 or 2 weeks on the road, then in home office doing electronic audits, then back on the road, then back home to finalize audits
• Travel timing depends on the auditor; some prefer to travel on Sunday for a more relaxed start, others on Monday.
• Auditors may:
• Rent a car for local travel.
• Fly to the audit city, depending on location.
• Upon arrival:
- Set up a meeting with the dealership.
- Spend the day reviewing job cards (target: 80 job cards per visit).
- Conduct research and document compliance status.
- Meet with the dealer to review results.
• Typical stay is until Tuesday, possibly Wednesday
• Responsible for doing a part scrap
Skills
• Knowledge of dealership systems and paperwork is crucial.
• Familiarity with systems such as: Reynolds and Reynolds, CDK, DealerTrack, etc.
• Previous dealership experience is preferred.
• Opportunity for extension
• Work through shuts downs, but takes Christmas shutdown
Candidate Requirements
• 2-4 years of experience but desires closer to 4 years of experience
• Bachelors preferred or equivalent work experience is acceptable
• ASC certification is applicable or other automotive certifications are helpful
Knowledge of Dealer Fixed Operations
Basic technical knowledge of vehicle repairs
Organizational skills
This is a remote position Warren, MI with extensive travel. All candidates must be local and elgible to work in the US without a sponsorship.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $40/hr annually. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
