As an Interaction Designer, you’ll be immersed in a dynamic, agile environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring exceptional digital experiences to life. You’ll leverage your expertise in interaction design principles to create intuitive, engaging, and accessible interfaces across multiple platforms. From ideation to implementation, you’ll be a driving force in shaping the future of digital finance.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop interaction design strategies based on user research, data analysis, and industry best practices.
- Create compelling visualizations and interactions to simplify complex data sets and enhance user comprehension.
- Lead design critiques, evaluate interactions for inclusivity, and provide expert guidance to cross-functional teams.
- Facilitate ideation sessions and collaborative workshops to foster innovation and generate creative solutions.
- Design complex low-fidelity sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to explore, communicate, and validate design concepts.
- Develop high-fidelity prototypes and detailed specifications for development teams.
- Conduct usability testing and user research to gather insights and inform design decisions.
- Research interaction design trends within the financial services sector and conduct competitive audits.
Must-Haves:
- BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience designing user interfaces across multiple channels and platforms.
- Experience in an applied research setting, including integrating user research into product designs and design practices.
- Proven ability to articulate design strategy, rationale, and logic, describing benefits and risks associated with design decisions.
- Demonstrated expertise with design, prototyping, and research tools such as Figma, Mural, and UserTesting.com.
Nice-to-Haves:
- MA/MS degree or certification in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field.
- Strong understanding of various research methods and their application during different product phases.
- Appreciation for the potential of “design thinking.”
- Experience working within a large organization and an agile environment.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $58 to $63.75 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
