This is a US-based remote position that will start as a 9 month engagement and coule extend up to 18 months

You will play a crucial role in fortifying cloud and on-premises infrastructure, ensuring robust security across the organization. As a Senior Security Engineer, you will be a key contributor in defining and implementing security configurations across diverse platforms. Your expertise will be essential in developing baselines that align with high-level security requirements, mitigating risks, and promoting a secure-by-default environment. Collaborate with teams across the organization to drive alignment on security standards, processes, and technologies. Champion automation and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in security practices.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and implement security configuration settings for various platform technologies.
- Create and maintain security baselines that align with high-level security requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive adoption of security best practices.
- Identify systemic security risks and develop mitigation plans.
- Champion automation to enhance security posture and efficiency.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of security controls and procedures.
- Stay abreast of emerging security threats and technologies.
Must-Haves:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- 10+ years of overall experience in the security field.
- 5+ years of experience with Cloud Security.
- 5+ years of experience with Network Security/OS Server Security.
- 5+ years of experience with Identity and Access Management.
- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with both standards-based and non-standards-based security requirements.
- Experience working in a large enterprise environment.
- Experience with security automation tools and technologies.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $70 to $80 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
