EXCITING DESIGN RESEARCHER III OPPORTUNITY

IN BENTONVILLE, ARKANASAS – GENEROUS RELOCATION ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Design Researcher III to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in understanding user needs and behaviors, translating insights into actionable recommendations, and contributing to the development of intuitive and valuable products and services. You’ll work closely with various stakeholders, applying your expertise in user research and design to drive customer-centric solutions.

What you’ll do:

User Discovery & Research

  • Conduct in-depth user interviews and surveys to gather comprehensive user requirements and pain points.

  • Assist in creating user journey maps and storyboards to visualize user experiences.

  • Perform contextual inquiries to understand users in their natural environments.

  • Analyze qualitative user data, identifying trends and key insights.

  • Propose hypotheses for research and provide input to refine research approaches and execution plans.

  • Guide research processes by offering insights on the type, quality, and quantity of data to be collected.

  • Verify the reliability and accuracy of information, detecting gaps and resolving inconsistencies in research data.

  • Translate research insights and metrics into actionable recommendations that inform design and business strategies.

  • Stay abreast of trends in user consumption habits and explore user problems and content requirements.

Functional Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Understand the interests and profiles of key stakeholders to effectively manage functional relationships.

  • Analyze stakeholder technical needs and partner with them to share relevant information.

  • Engage with internal and external business partners regularly, establishing credibility and facilitating information exchange.

  • Communicate articulately and concisely in stakeholder meetings involving multiple teams, conveying complex information and addressing ambiguity.

  • Build productive, collaborative relationships with stakeholders and influence teams to take meaningful action based on sound recommendations.

  • Prepare clear, concise, logically structured, and fact-based reports and materials.

  • Seek and provide constructive feedback, anticipating needs and questions, and responding appropriately.

Driving Customer/Client Needs & Usability

  • Seek and analyze user feedback to identify areas for improvement in products, services, and offerings.

  • Identify potential process improvements to reduce turnaround times and drive efficiencies, enhancing customer experiences.

  • Understand the fundamentals of testing against design specifications.

  • Identify major activities and documents associated with user acceptance testing.

  • Provide examples of acceptance tests for user acceptance testing and compile procedures and guidelines for test developers and end-users.

  • Explain the features and objectives of alpha and beta tests.

What you’ll bring:

  • User Experience Strategies: Solid understanding of user experience strategies, user interviews, surveys, user journeys, storyboards, and contextual inquiries.

  • Research Principles: Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research principles, data analysis techniques, and methods to detect information gaps.

  • Stakeholder Management: Expertise in stakeholder identification, mapping, analysis, communication, and engagement techniques.

  • Communication & Influence: Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, with the ability to apply various business communication styles in challenging situations and build universal relationships.

  • Customer Focus: Deep understanding of customer and business problems, journey mapping, and process optimization.

  • Usability Testing: Foundational knowledge of usability testing, including user profiles, testing scenarios, documentation, and test plans.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret relevant data for results and important insights.
