As a User Experience Designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the design language and user interface of a global design system used by design and development teams worldwide. Your expertise will ensure a cohesive and high-quality user experience across various devices and platforms, impacting millions of users. Be a key contributor to a dynamic team focused on revolutionizing how people discover and engage with books. Collaborate with talented individuals across disciplines to build a cohesive and scalable design framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and evolve the design system, ensuring it meets the needs of a diverse user base.
  • Create configurable design components within Figma, optimizing for usability and accessibility.
  • Develop clear and comprehensive usage guidelines for design components, enabling seamless implementation.
  • Produce meticulous design assets with a high level of polish and attention to detail.
  • Generate precise design specifications for engineering partners, facilitating smooth collaboration and development.

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven experience building design systems in Figma.
  • An impressive online portfolio showcasing relevant design systems work.
  • Proven ability to create highly polished and refined design assets.
  • Prior experience designing software products within a tech company environment.
  • Strong understanding of interaction design principles.
  • Deep understanding of user-centered design principles.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $72.00 to $80.01 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
