Apparel Designer

Overview

We are looking for Apparel Designer for our Global retail client. This is a 4-month hybrid engagement scheduled to start end of June. As a Apparel Designer on this team, you’ll be a key player in crafting innovative apparel that blends performance and style. Your designs will influence athletes and enthusiasts alike, impacting how they experience sport and express themselves. 

Requirements:

• Design performance and lifestyle apparel, incorporating insights, construction knowledge, and innovative materials.
• Develop seasonal design concepts that span various product types and sports categories.
• Participate in fit sessions, ensuring premier product quality across different distribution levels and price points.
• Collaborate with design, business, materials, and category teams throughout the entire design process.
• Develop concepts, mock-ups, and materials, bringing your creative vision to life.
• Create presentations showcasing seasonal design narratives, toolboxes, and frameworks.
• Support team members and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including graphic design, color design, technical design, development, costing & sourcing, and product line management.

Requirements & Nice-to-haves:

•  Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Materials, Graphics, Product Design, or Human Body Design. Four (4) years of experience in a designer-related occupation.
• Experience in storytelling and narrative creation.
• Proven ability to translate design direction and narrative into physical products.
• Strong presentation skills and experience creating and delivering compelling presentations.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with presentation tools such as Keynote and InDesign.
• Understanding of materials, pattern making, and apparel construction. Sewing skills.
• Experience with digital or 3D software such as CLO3D.
•  Experience designing for a variety of sports categories.
• Knowledge of technical sportswear and performance apparel.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $32 to $42 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
