Business Systems Analyst

This is a remote (must work PST hours) 3+ month contract position (with possible extension)
The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, modifying, and supporting the daily operations of business applications.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to align solutions with business goals
- Translate business requirements into documentation for technical teams
- Conduct cost-benefit and ROI analysis to support implementation decisions
- Apply knowledge of business processes to identify and address areas for improvement
- Provide functional support for one or more complex processes
- Contribute to multiple projects as part of a project team
- Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure effective solutions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees (MBA or equivalent) preferred
- 5–7 years of relevant experience
- 2+ years in supply chain operations or has a related certification
- 2+ years using spreadsheet and data analysis tools
- 2+ years of experience in project management or coordination
- Familiarity with programming concepts to understand system logic and structure
- Proven ability to develop impactful business solutions
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Project management experience with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives and meet deadlines
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot complex technical and operational issues
- Strong communication skills, especially in translating technical information to non-technical audiences
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use varied data sources to form solutions
Preferred Experience:
- 2–4 years of experience building and managing visual data dashboards or analytics platforms
- Project coordination or management experience
- Working understanding of data reporting and visualization methods
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $45 to $50 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
