As a Project Manager within the Legal & Compliance Operations team, you will be instrumental in shaping how the company navigates the evolving landscape of online safety. You’ll lead strategic initiatives, optimize workflows, and implement cutting-edge solutions to mitigate risk and ensure compliance. As a Project Manager, you will:
- Define and execute the strategy for core legal and compliance workflows, integrating automation, AI, and process optimization to enhance maturity, efficiency, manage risks, and reduce costs.
- Spearhead the adoption of automation and AI across Legal & Compliance Operations by collaborating with product, engineering, and business lines to develop and deploy low-code/no-code automation solutions.
- Empower operations teams to create and manage self-serve workflows, minimizing manual effort and maximizing scalability.
- Apply a product-focused approach to operational challenges, exploring technology opportunities—including AI/ML—for process innovation.
- Meticulously maintain documentation, including program plans, deliverables, timelines, opportunity trackers, roadmaps, and action items.
- Hold project and task owners accountable for timely execution, proactively identify and mitigate risks, and escalate issues effectively.
- Execute diverse projects, varying in size and complexity, to achieve program and team objectives.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track ROI, and drive continuous improvement based on data analysis and strategic goals.
- Lead strategic planning cycles, aligning roadmap milestones with company objectives and compliance obligations.
- Develop and maintain governance frameworks for operational readiness, program delivery, and cross-functional decision-making.
- Negotiate and communicate operational trade-offs, balancing regulatory, technical, and resource constraints to inform strategic decisions.
- Proactively identify risks, roadblocks, and dependencies across legal, product, compliance, and engineering teams.
- Lead clear and concise communication with leadership and stakeholders, including business reviews, escalation management, and root cause analysis. Prepare regular program-wide communications to raise awareness and promote engagement.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in consulting, strategy, operations, or equivalent program management experience, or an educational degree in project management, business, marketing, technology, finance, or operations.
- Proven experience implementing automation and AI-driven initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Solid understanding of AI capabilities and their application in Operations.
- Strong critical thinking skills and experience using data to anticipate, address challenges, and develop solutions.
- Familiarity with the Legal, Public Policy, or Regulatory landscape (including operations, audit, control/safeguard management).
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and work independently.
- Experience collaborating in a matrix environment with diverse cross-functional teams to drive execution.
- Proven ability to resolve conflicts through win-win solutions, identify trade-offs, and prioritize effectively.
- Strong risk management and prioritization skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience creating impactful executive-level presentations.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $78.15 to $86.84 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
