About the Role:
As a key member of the data center sustainability team, you will drive impactful projects focused on optimizing water and energy usage. You will collaborate with engineering teams, operations, and sustainability experts to analyze current resource consumption, identify areas for improvement, and implement innovative solutions. Your work will involve data analysis, gap identification, and the development of actionable plans to achieve international sustainability standards and regulatory compliance. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine your technical acumen with your passion for sustainability, contributing to a greener future for the company and the planet.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze current water and energy consumption in data centers, benchmarking against international standards and regulations.
- Partner with engineering teams and operations to identify opportunities for reducing resource usage.
- Develop and implement solutions to optimize water and energy efficiency in data centers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sustainability, environmental compliance, and engineering, to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of data-driven strategies for continuous improvement in resource management.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in sustainable data center operations.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of experience in a related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of data analysis techniques and methodologies.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing complex projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of or experience with ISO50001, EN50600, ISO40001, European Energy Directive, ISO30134-series of standards, European Green Public Procurement, European Trade Schema, and EU Taxonomy.
- 2-3 years of experience with productivity software suit.
- 2-3 years of experience with advanced query language.
- 2-3 years of experience with cloud based Dev Ops.
- 2-3 years of experience with internal document management system.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience with thermodynamics and calculus.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $70.24 to $78.05 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
