Become an integral part of a leading global beauty retailer, partnering with Aquent, and make a significant impact on their financial operations. As an Accounting Manager, you will be a key player in managing financial reporting, corporate office expenses, a specific entity’s accounting, and providing essential support to the accounting team. This role offers the opportunity to dive deep into analytical reviews, variance investigations, and month-end reconciliations, while contributing to the continuous improvement of accounting processes.
As an Accounting Manager, you will:
- Manage month-end general ledger close processes in accordance with US GAAP/IFRS
- Oversee financial reporting and tax compliance for a specific entity, including month-end activities and daily operations.
- Prepare crucial financial information to aid management in strategic decision-making.
- Manage foreign exchange revaluation processes.
- Contribute to a major systems implementation project.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks within financial processes, implementing robust controls.
- Collaborate with external auditors, ensuring smooth and efficient audit procedures.
- Spearhead ad-hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives to enhance internal control and risk management.
- Develop and implement effective accounting policies and procedures across the business.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (CPA/CA/MBA preferred)
- 7+ years of relevant business experience (Retail industry a plus)
- Advanced Excel skills (PIVOTs, SUMIFs, VLOOKUPs, macros)
- Experience with SAP
- Strong strategic, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Familiarity with IFRS accounting principles and financial statements
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Tech-savviness, self-motivation, and resourcefulness
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $100.34 to $111.49 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
