Our client is seeking a Broadcast Technician to join their team!

  • Oversee programming output for multiple radio broadcasts, ensuring timely and accurate execution of both live and recorded content.
  • Review, prioritize, and track incoming digital assets to ensure readiness for air.
  • Independently manage and execute broadcast transitions, using sound judgment to escalate issues promptly and appropriately.
  • Regularly evaluate operational workflows to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
  • Maintain and organize the music library and assist with digital asset management, including transferring, renaming, metadata tagging, adjusting levels, backing up, and uploading files.
  • Maintain high standards for audio and visual quality, with a proactive approach to quality control.
  • Collaborate effectively with content teams, engineering, broadcast managers, and team leads to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Ensure that all live and on-demand content meets technical, editorial, and quality standards, delivering a premium listening experience.
  • Monitor and report daily broadcast logs, noting any discrepancies in audio or metadata.
  • Must be available to work weekends and overnight shifts.

Skills Required

  • Proven ability to manage and execute multiple live broadcasts with composure and efficiency under pressure.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear, effective communication.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a proactive and team-oriented mindset.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with radio broadcast automation systems such as WideOrbit, NexGen, Zetta or similar platforms.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on audio editing experience using tools like Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Logic Pro or comparable software.
  • Creative, solutions-driven approach to problem-solving, troubleshooting, and technical challenges.
  • Consistently accurate when managing high-volume tasks in fast-paced environments.
  • Ability to identify and escalate issues promptly and appropriately.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with digital assets, ideally in a music, media, or tech-focused setting.
  • In-depth knowledge and confidence working with professional studio equipment.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively alongside others in shared studio environments.
  • Calm and capable under pressure, with a strong aptitude for troubleshooting and resolving issues in real time.
