Sourcing Data Analyst

Overview:

Our client is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join their team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, and be comfortable with PowerPoint. This role involves analyzing supplier quote information, comparing and contrasting cost factors, generating insights, and building presentations for stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze supplier quote information to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Compare and contrast cost factors across bids, generating insights.
• Develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets to support data analysis and reporting.
• Create PowerPoint presentations to showcase data for various stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and insights.
• Provide timely and accurate analysis to support decision-making processes.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience as an analyst, preferably within a large corporation.
• Proficiency in Excel, including the ability to create formulas, pivot tables, and manage large datasets.
• Understanding of supplier cost structures; reviewing, comparing, and generating insights.
• Comfort with generating stakeholder presentations using PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in an analytics role focused on analyzing data and insights.
• Experience supporting a sourcing team and analyzing RFP responses from suppliers.
• Familiarity with supplier management and procurement processes.
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing processes is helpful. 
• Understanding of materials or services cost breakdowns is helpful.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $33.44 to $37.16 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
