You will be a vital link between dealerships and the company, facilitating critical contractual changes and ensuring a smooth and compliant dealer network. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your analytical skills, legal acumen, and business understanding to directly impact the success of the dealer network.
As a Dealer Contract Specialist, you will be responsible for processing contractual changes, collaborating with dealers and internal stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with franchise statutes and agreements. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate dealer data, managing requests, and supporting the overall health of the dealer network. Partnering with field personnel, legal experts, and market analysts, you’ll navigate complex proposals, provide guidance on policies and procedures, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the automotive giant.

What You’ll Do:

  • Process contractual changes in accordance with state franchise statutes and dealer agreements.
  • Collaborate with dealers and internal stakeholders to gather necessary documentation for change requests.
  • Assist dealers and field personnel with data entry and proposal completion within the contractual system.
  • Partner with subject matter experts, including legal and market analysis teams, to finalize proposals.
  • Advise dealers and field personnel on policies and procedures related to dealer contracts.
  • Meet with stakeholders and attorneys to discuss dealer proposals and network activities.
  • Prepare dealer contracts and program enrollment forms.
  • Manage dealer activations and updates in relevant systems.
  • Maintain accurate dealer data within the network planning system.
  • Process and manage requests from dealers and leadership.
  • Utilize checklists and templates to complete change requests.
  • Draft custom dealer letters addressing contractual and policy inquiries.
  • Conduct financial analysis using provided reports.
  • Analyze sales and profit forecasts, providing insights to dealers.
  • Complete required notices as outlined in the sales and service agreement.
  • Request and review background checks for dealer candidates.
  • Complete add point information worksheets.
  • Provide deposition or testimony as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external parties.
  • Support dealers and personnel with electronic signature processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain electronic dealer files by uploading relevant documents.
  • Review and manage working files for compliance.
  • Analyze, track, and maintain information on dealer requests for quality control.
  • Assist dealers with re-contracting activities.
  • Handle general office work related to dealer requests and file maintenance.

Must-Haves:

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management.
  • Excellent attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral, written, and communication skills.
  • High motivation and a proactive approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work collaboratively in teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in the mortgage industry, handling multiple deals concurrently.
  • Compliance experience.
  • Experience with sourcing funds.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $60,000 to $70000 yearly. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
