Our client in the retail space is seeking a Freelnace Art Director to help out with upcoming projects

Provide seasonal artistic vision: create and champion a practical seasonal style guide to drive brand consistency across all channels.
Execute and present layouts to deliver on objectives of project briefs; present to stakeholders; updates as needed.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and outside agency partners to set the seasonal photography direction (on-fig and off-fig) and asset templates to bring the brand to life across all channels, and areas of the business.
Work with internal studios and external partners to communicate and maintain the seasonal creative vision.
Brief in agency and photographers on seasonal photography direction.
Attend and art direct photoshoots, ensuring the seasonal look & feel is captured; ensure all necessary photos are captured for various digital channel and in-store needs.
Ideate, storyboard and work with Videographer to capture video for  social and digital displays.
Brainstorm, style and art direct off-figure product photography.
Review and signoff on final layouts and photography selects before release.
Oversee consistency across all creative and manage evolution of our brand.
Demonstrate skill in conceptual development when new creative is required.
Ideal candidate will:

Have a deep understanding of brand, graphic design, typography, colour theory, storytelling, and user/customer experience to create inspiring and intuitive work.
Have a storytelling mindset.
Have led an in-house creative team that has developed creative campaigns for brand marketing.
Be experienced in all forms and mediums (website design, digital, response-based email, print, out-of-home advertising, social, etc.)
Have experience in performance marketing across channels.
Be able to communicate effectively with senior management, with the ability to translate creative strategy into business performance.
Have an outstanding portfolio of work which demonstrates a high-quality bar and compelling vision to share with your application.
Broad knowledge and experience in several art disciplines including: concept, photography, lighting, brand design systems and template design.
Able to give effective critiques and take feedback and criticism.

Minimum Requirements

3+ years’ experience as an Art Director in an agency, in-house studio or similar environment. A standout candidate would have retail experience with photography for big brands and show this in their portfolio
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and XD is a must).
Strong background in developing digital, print and omni-channel campaigns.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
