It’s “worthy” accomplishments that really matter

An idea born at a student newspaper became staffing leader Aquent with a record of firsts.

“You need to be bold enough to take risks and not worry.”

CEO JOHN H. CHUANG

In this episode, Heather R. Younger, J.D. speaks with John H. Chuang, Founder and CEO of Aquent about his leadership style. Chuang talks about adversity, competitors, change, and what keeps him going: “When we accomplish something or achieve something that the world has never been able to accomplish, that’s what I live for,” he said. For example, 1992, Aquent was the first staffing company to offer full health insurance to all temporary workers. During today’s COVID-19 pandemic, it was the first staffing company and first gig economy company to give sick pay to all employees in all states. “Again,” said Chuang, “it’s that satisfaction of being able to accomplish things that are worthy.”
