An increased ability to work remotely opens new opportunities for talent at more employers nationwide.

“Job seekers are in the driver's seat more than ever.”

PHILLIP LEWIS / SVP, GLOBAL INDUSTRY LEADER TECHNOLOGY, MEDIA & ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRIES, AQUENT

The pandemic changed the workplace, and the workforce, in many ways. For some it has meant new opportunities. Aquent's Phillip Lewis says the only bright side of the pandemic is that it allowed some people to work remotely for dynamic companies, doing really meaningful work. In fact, Aquent has seen a 700% increase in the placement of Nashville based workers at companies in Silicon Valley, Seattle, San Francisco, and more. Lewis says because so many companies are allowing and embracing remote work that “regardless of where you sit, if you have the skills that are needed and you are marketable, then you have a lot of opportunities in front of you.” In addition, he says that because so many are working remotely, companies are having to be more intentional about employee camaraderie and collaboration opportunities.
