We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic professional to spearhead the implementation and sustainment of a robust Knowledge Management operating model. In this role, you won’t just be managing content; you’ll be a key architect in translating strategic vision into tangible, actionable plans that ensure vital information is not only accessible but actively fuels efficiency and innovation across the entire organization. You will coordinate a complex roadmap, establish foundational governance standards, facilitate crucial decisions, and champion the adoption of cutting-edge Knowledge Management practices, making a profound impact on how teams collaborate, learn, and grow.
Your Impactful Contributions
- Coordinate the comprehensive delivery of the Knowledge Management roadmap, encompassing content governance, operating-model implementation, enterprise tooling, migration strategies, adoption initiatives, and ongoing sustainment efforts.
- Translate overarching Knowledge Management strategy into concrete features, backlogs, key milestones, detailed requirements, acceptance criteria, dependency mapping, and comprehensive implementation plans.
- Provide essential functional direction and strategic priorities to operational support teams, developers, UX resources, change-management partners, and external vendors.
- Define and meticulously maintain rigorous standards for living knowledge, curated entry points, and controlled documents, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Establish practical and effective governance frameworks for content ownership, systematic review cycles, lifecycle status, metadata application, permissions management, archiving protocols, and the efficient resolution of duplicate or conflicting content.
- Coordinate the seamless implementation of selected enterprise Knowledge Management platforms, including use-case definition, content preparation, governance setup, thorough testing, and successful rollout.
- Lead critical content inventory and triage activities to strategically determine which content should be retained, migrated, converted, linked, improved, or retired, optimizing the knowledge base.
- Define intuitive information architecture, robust taxonomy, clear navigation paths, standardized templates, and effective content patterns that significantly enhance findability and overall usability.
- Ensure that all content intended to support advanced AI solutions has a clear owner, an authoritative source, defined audience, accurate lifecycle status, appropriate permissions, a scheduled review date, and relevant metadata.
- Coordinate requirements for review and approval automation, working in tandem with technical resources performing configuration and development.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Knowledge Management guidance, engaging training materials, clear communications, regular office hours, and robust adoption support programs.
- Relaunch and sustain the Knowledge Management Champions network, clearly defining roles, expectations, and escalation paths to foster a culture of knowledge sharing.
- Partner closely with enterprise IT Knowledge Management teams to apply central standards while adeptly adapting implementation to meet specific business needs.
- Maintain program-level reporting that provides clear insights into roadmap progress, identifies risks, documents key decisions, assesses content health, tracks adoption metrics, and measures tangible outcomes.
- Establish a sustainable operating and handoff model to ensure Knowledge Management practices continue effectively and seamlessly after initial implementation.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in enterprise knowledge management, content governance, information management, or a closely related discipline.
- Proven experience in translating a Knowledge Management strategy or operating model into practical processes, robust standards, actionable roadmaps, and successful implementation activities.
- Strong understanding of information architecture, taxonomy, metadata, content lifecycle management, ownership, permissions, and effective review processes.
- Hands-on experience working with SharePoint and various enterprise knowledge-base or collaboration platforms.
- Strong program coordination and stakeholder-facilitation skills, adept at navigating diverse groups including business, technical, vendor, and leadership teams.
- Ability to create clear requirements, define priorities, develop comprehensive governance materials, produce effective training content, and deliver executive-level progress reporting.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, proactively resolve ambiguity, and drive initiatives from strategic conception through to successful implementation and adoption.
Preferred Qualifications to Stand Out
