This is a Part Time remote 6-week engagement. We are looking for someone for 20 hours a week.
Join a world-renowned technology leader, partnered with Aquent, that is at the forefront of digital transformation, impacting millions globally through its innovative solutions. This company is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where cutting-edge technology meets real-world challenges, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. As a vital member of their team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing critical data acquisition processes, directly influencing how data flows from partners to advanced analytics and AI teams. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping robust data models, automating workflows, and delivering actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. This is an exceptional chance to make a significant, measurable impact within a dynamic environment, contributing to projects that optimize operational efficiency and elevate data quality across key business functions.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to spearhead critical data initiatives within a specialized team focused on data acquisition. In this role, you will be the architect of change, driving vendor-supported enhancements to core systems that manage the entire lifecycle of partner engagements—from initial opportunities to final payments. You will significantly reduce manual efforts, elevate data quality, and establish robust governance across business development, acquisition, and procurement functions. This is a part-time position, requiring approximately 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule, offering a unique opportunity to apply your deep technical skills to complex, high-impact projects.
What You’ll Do
- Work with senior management and technical client teams to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, and best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage, and analysis strategies.
- Design the CRM data model in Dataverse (reuse Orders and Invoices; add Deliveries) to enable one to many relationships and multi delivery tracking under a single opportunity/PO while minimizing field bloat.
- Write code and logical/physical database descriptions; specify identifiers/keys; provide clear specifications to management; and direct coding/descriptions for implementation.
- Implement, automate, and maintain enterprise ETL processes (Power Automate/Dataflows, SQL, Python/PowerShell) to ingest PO/Invoice metadata from finance systems (e.g., MSInvoice) and link to CRM records, reducing manual entry.
- Modify existing databases and database management systems; direct programmers/analysts to make schema, form, view, and business rule changes in Dynamics 365 CRM.
- Audit and rationalize fields (Advanced Find/exports), define a minimal viable field set per team, and configure role-based forms/views to improve usability and adoption.
- Test programs and databases; correct errors from modifications and integrations; establish validation rules, duplicate detection, and referential integrity for lookups.
- Establish governance (RACI) for data ownership across BD, Acquisition, and Procurement; configure auditing and usage telemetry; and document SOPs, bulk update workflows (export → fill → import), and SLAs.
- Deliver reporting and insights (Power BI/Dataverse charts) showing delivery status vs. expected inventory, invoice/payment state, and operational KPIs for stakeholders.
- Maintain security/compliance practices (role-based access, auditing) and support environment/solution management for safe change delivery.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related).
- 8–10 years of relevant experience, including substantial work with Dynamics 365/Dataverse and the Microsoft Power Platform.
- 5-7 years of experience Dynamics 365 & Dataverse configuration – expertise in entities/relationships, forms/views, business rules, auditing.
- 4-6 years of experience with Power Platform ETL automation – Power Automate flows, Dataflows/Power Query, connector based integrations with finance systems (e.g., MSInvoice) and robust error handling.
- 5+ years of experience with SQL + scripting -T-SQL and PowerShell/Python for data shaping, bulk import/export, keys/lookups, and troubleshooting at scale.
- Hands on Dynamics 365 CRM/Dataverse (entities, relationships, forms, views, business rules, auditing).
- ETL tools and automation: Power Automate/Dataflows/Power Query; API/webhooks; bulk import/export; Excel based data update patterns.
- SQL and one scripting language (e.g., Python or PowerShell) for data shaping, validation, and automation.
- Power BI dashboards and Dataverse charts for operational reporting.
- Strong written/oral communication, stakeholder facilitation, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills; demonstrated success working with data to help businesses make better data driven decisions.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience with system rebuilds or complex data-related workflow system implementations.
- Familiarity with creating custom applications within a business application environment.
