Thie is a US-based position that is overnight. Hours are 5pm-2am PST. It will start as a 6 month engagement and will likely extend to 12 months.

The role will consist of executing day-to-day tasks to support the operations of the CI/CD pipelines of AAA games using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Perforce. This person will be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and improving the build pipelines for a Redmond-based game studios projects to ensure build stability. They will also create and monitor alerts based on observability data from the pipelines. Specifically, this role will be over night to ensure support for our global partners

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute day-to-day tasks to support the operations of CI/CD pipelines for large-scale interactive entertainment projects using industry-standard tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, and Perforce.
  • Routine maintenance such as updating auth tokens for services
  • Triage and resolve external partner issues
  • Mitigate issues blocking automation tasks from succeeding, Monitor and create alerts based on data from the build system, Drive data-backed improvements by identifying areas of improvement and recommend changes
  • Monitor and analyze metrics, traces, and logs across all CI/CD systems o Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and postmortems

  • Combine history and upcoming needs to ensure CI/CD capacity, and Design and implement scripts or similar automation to streamline operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or CI/CD tools, including Jenkins.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience designing, implementing, and editing scripts to streamline manual operations using languages such as PowerShell or Python within medium to large-scale codebases.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience implementing data solutions to measure and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using technologies like SQL or Azure Data Lake.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing data and observability solutions to monitor KPIs for CI/CD infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with Perforce source control system.
  • Solid understanding of software development best practices, including agile methodologies and continuous integration and deployment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct thorough root cause analysis of critical problems.
  • Outstanding communication and writing skills, with the ability to ask questions and share information clearly and concisely in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience with Jira or similar work item tracking systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Unreal Engine.
  • Familiarity with Azure or other cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in C++ and/or C#.
