We are seeking a dynamic individual to step into a pivotal role focused on material planning for key product categories. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the mid-to-long-range health of material plans, understand the driving forces behind material forecasts, and coordinate strategies that ensure on-time delivery. You will be instrumental in setting and operationalizing material lead time strategies, serving as a subject matter expert in critical projects, and directly impacting the responsiveness and resiliency of our material supply chain.
**What You’ll Do:**
In this highly collaborative role, you will lead, facilitate, and coordinate cross-functional efforts to identify and resolve risks and opportunities within the material plan, ensuring the timely delivery of finished goods across significant product alignments. Your contributions will directly influence the efficiency and flexibility of the material supply chain.
* Collaborate with upstream partners to provide clear and timely material demand signals for various product materials.
* Analyze material demand and capacity, implementing mitigation processes to ensure on-time production from key vendors.
* Establish and operationalize material lead time strategies in partnership with material and finished goods teams.
* Coordinate and operationalize cross-functional seasonal readiness initiatives for your assigned product categories, working closely with your supporting planning team.
* Serve as a subject matter expert in material planning and sourcing during key cross-functional engagements and special projects.
* Partner with leadership to develop and implement new strategies for a responsive, flexible material supply chain, driving on-time delivery.
* Collaborate with planning leadership and cross-functional partners to identify improvement opportunities aligned with the overall material supply chain strategy.
* Identify, scope, and partner with technology and analytics teams to develop new analytical tools and system capabilities.
**Who You’ll Work With:**
You will report to the Material Planning Director and work closely with the leadership team. This role thrives on collaboration, engaging with a diverse group of stakeholders to achieve shared goals. Key partners include:
* Manufacturing Management teams
* Sourcing and Costing teams
* Material Development
* Global Supply Planning and Merchandising Planning teams
* Technology & Analytics teams
* External material partners
**Must-Have Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree.
* 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain, Planning (Supply, Demand, Materials, etc.), Manufacturing, and/or Logistics functions.
* Strong understanding of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) basics, Demand, Production, and Capacity Management, including key metrics. Ability to interpret driving factors and implement corrective actions.
* Understanding of Manufacturing best practices and key metrics, with the ability to evaluate and recommend improvements in manufacturing strategies to meet inventory and service objectives.
* Proven innovation mindset with a desire to continuously improve and challenge the status quo.
* Excellent communication skills, both in-person, written, and via phone.
* Effective presentation skills, both visual and oral.
* Experience in creating tools to support the analytics of key business performance metrics.
* Experience working in a diverse, cross-functional environment and fostering a culture of belonging.
* Results-oriented mentality for prioritizing work, managing upward and downward as necessary.
* A passion for high-quality products and the industry.
* Experience working specifically with materials rather than finished goods.
* Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence teams that do not directly work within supply chains.
**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**
* Understanding of manufacturing processes.
* Experience aligning cross-cultural, virtual teams.
* Previous project management experience.
* Experience with textiles.
