About the Position
We are seeking a Jr. Production Designer to provide seamless coverage during a maternity leave, ensuring ongoing support for our client’s e-commerce and marketing teams. This hybrid role blends photo retouching and email campaign design, requiring strong hands-on skills in both Adobe Photoshop and Figma. The designer will handle high-volume product photo editing and assist in producing visually engaging, on-brand marketing emails for upcoming campaigns. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently within established brand templates and workflows. While the title is “Jr. Production Designer,” this position requires a mid-level designer capable of managing responsibilities with minimal oversight.

The Jr. Production Designer will join a small, agile creative team that includes a copywriter and an existing email contractor, working closely with leadership on both e-commerce and marketing initiatives. The team values proactive problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to jump in quickly to keep projects moving during this coverage period.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and update email campaign templates in Figma, typically two per week.
- Upload finalized email designs into Klaviyo for scheduling and deployment.
- Ensure all email creative aligns with brand standards and marketing objectives.
- Perform bulk photo retouching and editing in Adobe Photoshop, including clipping paths, color correction, lens recoloring, and background cleanup.
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all photo editing tasks.
- Collaborate with copywriters and marketing leads to prepare campaign assets and ensure timely delivery.
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines across both photo and email projects.
- Maintain consistency and quality across all digital assets.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in email design and production for a D2C e-commerce brand.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma for email campaign design and layout.
- Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop, particularly in bulk photo retouching and recoloring.
- Experience using Klaviyo or similar email marketing platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to work from templates and established brand guidelines efficiently.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills; comfortable managing independent workflows.
- Familiarity with Google Suite; experience with Asana is a plus.
- A portfolio showcasing both Figma email designs and photo retouching work is required.
- Availability to work within West Coast or Mountain Time zones preferred (open to East Coast).
