This is a remote position that will start as a 2 month engagement that will extend on a quarterly basis up to 18 months.
Aquent is partnering with a global technology leader that is shaping the future of cloud infrastructure. This is your chance to make a significant impact on high-visibility global programs, contributing directly to the lifecycle management and decommissioning of critical data center operations. You’ll collaborate with experienced Program Managers, gaining unparalleled exposure to large-scale infrastructure projects and honing your governance, program management, and operational execution skills within a dynamic and innovative environment.
In this vital role, you will be instrumental in supporting the Cloud Decommissioning Program by partnering with internal Program Managers to coordinate day-to-day operational tasks related to data center and decommissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities and Impact
- Manage and track project milestones for data center closure and decommissioning efforts, ensuring alignment with internal PMO schedules and reporting requirements.
- Use systems such as Stratus (Decom POR management tool) and DC closure tools to support project execution and documentation.
- Handle and maintain materials that may include Confidential and Highly Confidential information related to data center decommissioning.
- Manage SharePoint repositories and project artifacts associated with decommissioning projects.
- Produce and maintain deliverables and closure evidence required for compliance and audit readiness.
- Collaborate with internal Program Managers, Finance, and Engineering teams to ensure accurate and timely project status tracking and deliverable completion.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years experience with Project Management (coordinating complex, cross-functional technical or operational projects)
- Minimum 1-2 years experience with Data Center or Infrastructure Program Support (working with decommissioning or operational closure programs )
- Minimum 1-2 years experience with Tools such as Stratus, SharePoint, Excel, Power BI — managing documentation, reporting, and compliance deliverables
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience in large-scale infrastructure or data center programs.
- Strong skills in documentation control and cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with decommissioning, asset lifecycle management, or compliance-driven operations.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, data accuracy, and the ability to manage confidential information responsibly.
- Experience with reporting and data analysis.
