About the Role

We’re looking for an organized and detail-oriented Marketing Advertising Coordinator to join our client’s team for a six-month contract. In this consultant role, you’ll provide administrative and coordination support to the Promotions, Marketing, and Merchandising teams during a busy promotional period.

This is a hands-on, process-focused role where you’ll help keep information, timelines, and communication running smoothly across departments. You won’t be creating marketing strategy or designing campaigns — instead, you’ll play a key part in tracking details, reviewing creative proofs, and ensuring our retail promotions go out accurately and on time.

It’s a great opportunity for a junior marketing, merchandising, or project coordinator who enjoys working behind the scenes and wants experience in retail marketing operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as a bridge between the Promotions, Marketing, and Merchandising teams, helping coordinate information and updates.
  • Track and update promotional details, including product lists, pricing, and creative assets.
  • Assist with proofing and reviewing marketing materials such as flyers, signage, and promotional content for accuracy.
  • Maintain and distribute project timelines and status updates.
  • Follow up with internal teams to gather missing information or confirm approvals.
  • Support general administrative needs within the marketing department (document organization, communication tracking, file management).
  • Identify and communicate any changes, issues, or errors to ensure accuracy before materials go to market.

What You Bring

  • 1–4 years of experience in marketing coordination, merchandising support, or administrative roles within retail, consumer goods, or marketing environments.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Comfort managing multiple small tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; able to follow up with multiple teams diplomatically.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat (for proofing and markup) is an asset.
  • Familiarity with marketing calendars, creative review, or retail promotional workflows is a plus.

Who You Are

  • You’re organized, proactive, and dependable — the person who keeps projects running smoothly.
  • You enjoy working with details, spreadsheets, and structured processes.
  • You’re a team player who’s comfortable communicating with multiple departments.
  • You thrive in a support role and take pride in getting the details right.
  • You’re available to start immediately and commit to a 6-month contract.

Why Join Us

  • Gain valuable marketing experience with a leading sporting goods retailer.
  • Work in a collaborative, energetic team passionate about sports and retail.
  • Build your experience in retail marketing operations — a great foundation for future roles in marketing, merchandising, or project management.
