This is a US-based remote position. It will start as an 8-month engagement but could extend up to 18 months.

About the Role:
As a key contributor to our security and compliance team, you will be instrumental in enhancing the robustness and integrity of our cloud services. This role offers a dynamic blend of strategic assessments, hands-on remediation, and innovative automation, allowing you to apply your expertise to critical projects. You will work closely with engineering teams, providing essential guidance and driving the adoption of best practices, all while operating in a high-visibility environment that values proactive problem-solving and collaborative spirit.
Key Responsibilities and Impact
- Perform in-depth security and risk assessments for cloud-based services.
- Document identified risks and ensure accurate linkage to corresponding remediation actions.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering teams to track progress on risk mitigation and ensure successful closure.
- Provide expert technical guidance and hands-on remediation support, including dedicated consultation hours.
- Capture and standardize remediation steps, building reusable guidance to streamline future security efforts.
- Analyze complex security and compliance datasets to surface critical insights and summarize risk impact.
- Leverage automation to significantly streamline risk tracking, compliance validation, and remediation workflows.
- Support and actively participate in security and compliance initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
- Track and manage assigned work efficiently, providing timely updates and clear documentation.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5+ overall years of experience in the field of security engineering, compliance, or cloud risk management.
- Minimum 5+ years experience with automation and coding skills (some specific examples of the assignments will include the following: Programing with C#, Scripting with PowerShell, Automating remediation for Azure resources based Azure policy controls,Use of Power Automate and ADO integration)
- CISSP certification or equivalent (e.g., SANS GIAC certifications) is required.
- Minimum 5+ years experience with cloud platforms, including familiarity with its security architecture and services.
- Minimum 3+ years experience in security assessments, threat modeling, and risk analysis.
- Minimum 1+ years experience with risk management, with working knowledge of relevant control frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline OR 5–7 years of relevant industry experience in security engineering, compliance, or cloud risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive approach to identifying and addressing security challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a friendly and collaborative persona for engaging with stakeholders.
- Strong work ethic and a commitment to quality and timely delivery.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with secure code reviews and static/dynamic analysis tools.
- Hands-on experience securing cloud application platforms, including canvas applications and data services.
- Familiarity with compliance automation frameworks or platforms.
