Aquent is partnering with a globally recognized leader in fashion retail, renowned for its iconic brand and innovative product lines, to find a visionary Senior Designer. As a pivotal member of our design team, you will be at the forefront of shaping the brand’s aesthetic and commercial success. Your vision and leadership will directly influence the product’s journey from concept to consumer, driving the creation of compelling, brand-right designs that resonate with customers and define market trends, making a significant impact on our collections and the overall brand experience.

In this dynamic role, you will lead the charge in developing commercially viable product designs for a mid-to-high volume category. You’ll leverage your keen eye for fashion and deep understanding of consumer needs to present and deliver innovative designs that align with the overall concept and business strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to not only create stunning products but also to mentor junior talent, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and champion efficiency, all while upholding the integrity and passion for our brand.

What You’ll Do:

  • Create and deliver brand-right, commercial designs that reflect conceptual direction and business strategy.
  • Develop seasonal products with a meticulous focus on style, fit, and fabric.
  • Adapt designs based on feedback, incorporating insights for finalization and optimal appeal.
  • Implement processes to anticipate and exceed customer expectations, ensuring designs truly meet their needs.
  • Execute product designs with flawless precision, achieving goals with speed, agility, and acute attention to detail.
  • Identify and recommend resources for new ideas, conducting ongoing competitor research and trend analysis to stay ahead.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with key partners across Merchandising, Marketing, and Product Development throughout the design process.
  • Present designs confidently to internal leadership, the design team, and crucial cross-functional partners.
  • Execute design sketches and prototypes, providing clear and comprehensive specifications.
  • Proactively anticipate and solve potential issues, providing effective conflict resolution when needed.
  • Manage, inspire, and foster the growth of junior design talent, building a strong, collaborative team.
  • Cultivate and maintain collaborative and effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Assess current practices to identify opportunities for greater efficiency and speed in delivery.
  • Ensure all design deliverables meet budget and time commitments without compromising design excellence.

  • Demonstrated ability to create original design sketches and contribute to successful product lines.

  • Willingness to undertake moderate domestic and minimal international travel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive design experience in a comparable retail environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
