Pharmacy Technician

Overview

Aquent has an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician in Mechanicsville, VA!

This role is 100% on-site.  It will be required that you can comfortably to our client’s location and to be able to work the following schedule:

• Hours:  5:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Days:  Sunday – Wednesday

In addition, to be considered for this role, you must:

• Be authorized to work in the United States
• Not require sponsorship of any kind for the duration of the assignment
• Be able to work on a W-2 basis.  C2C or 1099 is not permitted for this role
• Hold a current Pharmacy Technician license for the state of Virginia that does not expire for 6 months.

In this critical role, you will be at the heart of medication preparation and distribution, utilizing advanced systems to process prescriptions with accuracy and care. You will play a crucial part in resolving complex issues, ensuring smooth operations, and directly assisting patients and healthcare providers. Your contributions will directly enhance patient safety and satisfaction, making a tangible difference in the lives of many.

What You’ll Do:

• Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and coordinating outreach to members and healthcare providers.
• Accurately enter patient demographic and prescription information into data processing systems.
• Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and address escalated patient concerns.
• Collaborate with Pharmacists, escalating prescription-related questions for interpretation and guidance.
• Engage with patients and healthcare providers through inbound and/or outbound calls, providing support and information.
• Perform other essential duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the pharmacy.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by the state of operation.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to navigate and resolve complex prescription and billing issues.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $16.37 – $18.19 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
