Pharmacy Technician

Overview

Aquent has an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician in Mechanicsville, VA!

This role is 100% on-site.  It will be required that you can comfortably to our client’s location and to be able to work the following schedule:

• Hours:  5:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Days:  Wednesday – Saturday

In addition, to be considered for this role, you must:

• Be authorized to work in the United States
• Not require sponsorship of any kind for the duration of the assignment
• Be able to work on a W-2 basis.  C2C or 1099 is not permitted for this role
• Hold a current Pharmacy Technician license for the state of Virginia that does not expire for 6 months.

What You’ll Do:
As a vital member of our fulfillment team, you will be instrumental in the smooth operation of our pharmaceutical services. Your daily contributions will ensure that prescriptions are processed accurately and efficiently, directly supporting patient health outcomes. You will be responsible for:

• Managing and resolving prescription exceptions, including addressing claim rejects and coordinating essential outreach to members and physicians.
• Accurately entering member demographics and prescription information into our data processing systems.
• Researching and resolving complex rejected insurance billing issues and addressing escalated member concerns with precision.
• Collaborating with Pharmacists by escalating questions regarding prescription interpretation or seeking direction on processing specific cases.
• Assisting patients and physicians through inbound and/or outbound calls, providing support and clarity regarding their prescriptions.
• Performing other duties as assigned to support the seamless operation of our pharmacy services.

What You’ll Bring:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by your state of operation.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills for data entry and system navigation.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $16.37 – $18.19 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
