Join a dynamic team dedicated to improving member health outcomes as a Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) Support Specialist. You will play a crucial role in ensuring members receive vital clinical services, directly impacting their well-being. This involves collaborating with providers, conducting outreach, and meticulously managing data to support quality initiatives and regulatory requirements.
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Be authorized to work in the United States
- Not require sponsorship of any kind for the duration of the assignment
- Be able to work on a W-2 basis. C2C or 1099 is not permitted for this position
As a HEDIS Support Specialist, you will:
- Provide support for Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) quality initiatives and regulatory/contractual requirements, including outreach to members regarding designated services.
- Support effective medical record capture for HEDIS medical record review and abstraction of supplemental data.
- Perform provider/location research, data cleanup, and updates to ensure accurate medical record requests and proper handling of protected health information (PHI).
- Conduct HEDIS provider chart requests via phone, fax, and mail.
- Identify resources and collaborate with providers to improve member health outcomes and HEDIS measure rates.
- Facilitate provider and member outreach to ensure member access to clinical services, improving health outcomes and closing care gaps.
- Identify appropriate referrals to Social Workers or Case Managers when necessary.
- Assist in developing and standardizing outreach documentation and manage the data flow process for HEDIS documentation.
- Document member participation in outreach activities according to abstraction and audit standards.
- Meticulously record and document all member and provider outreach activities.
- Perform other duties as required.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of recent HEDIS project support experience
- Strong communication skills and experience interacting with medical providers
- Ability to work independently
- Proficiency in standard corporate software packages and applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Adobe Reader, and RightFax
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Recent experience in healthcare marketing, member outreach, or health education
- Experience working in a call center environment
Education:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $23.00 to $25.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
