Join a global leader in safety science as a Supplier Quality Engineer! Partnering with Aquent, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of critical equipment, directly impacting the safety and reliability of essential systems. Your expertise will be essential in upholding rigorous standards and driving continuous improvement within the supply chain.
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be a key player in ensuring that suppliers meet stringent quality, technical, and regulatory requirements. You will conduct meticulous audits, both on-site and remotely, focusing on process controls, quality systems, and compliance. Your insights will directly influence supplier performance and mitigate potential risks, contributing to the delivery of high-quality products.
- Hours: part-time, 20 hours per week
- Location: Hybrid, onsite 3 days per week
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and execute comprehensive audit plans for capital equipment suppliers.
- Conduct thorough on-site and remote audits, meticulously documenting findings and managing corrective actions.
- Monitor supplier performance and quality metrics, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and engineering drawings.
- Review and approve critical supplier documentation, including control plans, validation protocols, and inspection records.
- Collaborate with engineering and regulatory teams to address technical non-conformances and maintain product integrity.
- Identify and assess potential risks related to supplier quality and technical capability, developing mitigation strategies in partnership with sourcing and engineering teams.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives by facilitating root cause analysis and recommending process and product enhancements.
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in supplier quality or manufacturing audit roles, preferably within capital equipment or industrial manufacturing.
- Solid understanding of technical specifications, manufacturing processes, and quality systems.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory and compliance standards for capital equipment.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Certification in auditing or quality systems (e.g., ISO Lead Auditor).
The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $49.50-$55 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in 401k plan with company match.
