Shape the future of cybersecurity for a leading financial services firm, partnering with Aquent Talent. In this exciting role, you’ll be a key player in fortifying the firm’s security posture, ensuring the protection of critical assets and sensitive data. Collaborate with expert engineers, influence security strategies, and leave your mark on a global scale.
As a Security Architect, you will be an integral part of the Cybersecurity Services team, a centralized Center of Excellence dedicated to advancing the firm’s security posture. You will drive secure design reviews and implementations, collaborating with architects and product owners to build robust security requirements. Your expertise will be crucial in shaping the firm’s security landscape, impacting projects across the organization and contributing to its global success.
What You’ll Do:

  • Lead secure design reviews and implementations of on-premises and cloud security controls, impacting hundreds of internal and external business IT projects globally.
  • Partner with Domain Architects, Product Managers, and Product Owners to develop security requirements and secure deployment patterns.
  • Define solution intent, operating environment, primary systems/subsystems, interfaces, non-functional requirements, and architectural runway for new features and opportunities.
  • Conduct security architecture reviews and assessments across IAM, Data Protection, Application Security, Network Security, and Security Analytics.
  • Deliver secure designs aligned with security requirements and reference architectures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and service providers to ensure solutions are fit for purpose, evaluating the impact of strategic design decisions.
  • Contribute to best practices, standard templates, and the architecture roadmap for security domains.
  • Interpret business, technology, and threat drivers to develop practical security capabilities.
  • Clarify architecture for development teams, providing solution options to resolve architectural impediments.
  • Perform design reviews to ensure all non-functional requirements are met (security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability).
  • Share best practices and insights with other security architects and practitioners.

Must-Haves:

  • 4-year college/university degree
  • 10+ years of experience designing, building, and managing security infrastructure or solutions.
  • Knowledge of multiple security domains and customer authentication processes.
  • Deep understanding of security domains, including risk documentation, remediation evaluation, and presentation of findings to technical and executive leadership.
  • Adaptability in changing situations while working with individuals and groups.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with AI security
  • Experience with assessment, development, implementation, integration, optimization, and documentation of security technologies and processes in on-premise, public, and private cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise security concepts/frameworks and products, secure design principles, and best practices.
  • Framework knowledge (NIST 800-53, CIS Benchmarks, ISO 27000 series, COBIT, etc.).
  • CISSP or CSSLP certification (other Information Security certifications are a plus).
