Dive into the world of finance as a Business Analyst with a leading financial services firm, partnering with Aquent Talent. You will play a crucial role in illuminating the path of data, transforming complex SQL processes into clear, understandable narratives. Your analytical prowess will be key in identifying data quality issues and ensuring data integrity. Partnering with subject matter experts, you’ll bridge the gap between technical intricacies and business needs, contributing directly to the efficiency and effectiveness of data-driven decision-making.
As a Business Analyst, you will:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and business partners to gather requirements and document use cases and business capabilities.
- Decipher existing SQL processes, translating their functionality into easy-to-understand documentation.
- Develop, review, and maintain technical documents that clearly explain existing data processes.
- Research and document new or changing functionality, consolidating technical and product information from various sources.
- Utilize SQL to profile source data, pinpoint data quality issues, and trace data flow through SQL processes.
- Generate requirements documents based on existing templates and SQL functionality.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in a comparable Business Analyst role.
- Proven ability to read and write SQL, with a knack for translating technical SQL into clear, concise language.
- Exceptional writing skills, meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, a curious mindset, a self-sufficient work ethic, and the ability to learn quickly.
- Strong technical aptitude, excellent time management and prioritization skills, and a talent for critical thinking.
- Experience in data profiling.
- Experience working with Google Big Query.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical details into business-friendly language.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems with limited information and ambiguous problem definitions.
- Self-motivated, analytical, organized, and deadline-driven.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Experience within the Banking or Brokerage services industry.
- Strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts.
