Our global retailer client is looking to bring on a Copywriter! As a Copywriter with our client, you’ll create marketing copy that balances key program messages & benefits with thoughtful storytelling to help our members understand how they can save money & live better with our client. You’ll be part of a passionate, collaborative creative team & work on projects from kick-off to hand-off that inform, inspire, & make a real difference in our members’ everyday lives. 

Details

  • Compose copy that gets to the heart of who our customers are.
  • You’ll cover a range of topics & assets, including paid & owned social channels, site assets, emails, digital ads, store signage, printed mailers, multichannel campaigns, brainstorms + so much more.
  • Gain an understanding of our brand’s core principles, the benefits of our client, our creative copy voice, tone, & style guides, applying that understanding to the crafting copy to support business goals.
  • Work on multiple copy projects on different timelines with varying levels of complexity & importance to the business.
  • Create compelling, customer-centric copy based on approved program messaging & legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with Design & other team members to come up with creative solutions to meet business goals.
  • Make edits following input from partners including marketers, site managers, editors, & the Copy Lead.
  • Approach copy input from copy leadership & partners with a positive, collaborative attitude & willingness to learn & grow.
  • Attend & positively engage in project kick-off & follow-up meetings by asking proactive questions, seeking clarity, & anticipating required information to compose effective copy.
  • Take character limitations & design constraints into account when creating copy, & partner with editors to resolve writing or grammar issues.
  • Maintain a positive, can-do attitude. Seek answers to ambiguous asks, find comfort working autonomously, & quickly pivot direction based on changing business needs.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years copywriting experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience copywriting in a e-tail environment or with a creative agency.
  • Ability to create detail-oriented copy that balances program & legal requirements with a conversational, storytelling approach.
  • Work autonomously & self-manage, as well as collaborate closely with the team.
  • True team player with a can-do attitude.
  • Prior experience on loyalty or membership programs is a plus!
