We are seeking a Data Engineer for our Global retail client. This will be a 9-month hybrid engagement in Beaverton, OR, starting in the middle of September. You will be an integral part of a team building and maintaining cutting-edge data systems. Get ready to dive into a dynamic environment where your expertise will transform raw data into actionable insights, driving key business decisions. Candidates must have experience with Databricks, AWS, Apache Spark, Python, and PySpark.
As a key member of the data engineering team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the systems that collect, manage, and transform data into usable information. This involves working with large datasets from various sources and ensuring data accessibility and seamless flow. You will play a vital role in optimizing data pipelines and contributing to the development of innovative data solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Establish database management systems, standards, guidelines, and quality assurance for database deliverables.
- Document and communicate database designs, evaluating and installing database management systems.
- Develop data, database specifications, tables, and element attributes for applications.
- Code complex programs and derive logical processes on technical platforms.
- Build windows, screens, and reports, assisting in designing user interface and business application prototypes.
- Participate in quality assurance and develop test application code in a client-server environment.
- Provide expertise in devising, negotiating, and defending the tables and fields provided in the database.
- Adapt business requirements and develop data storage solutions.
- Determine the appropriateness of data for storage and optimal storage organization.
- Define table relationships and field interactions within tables for a relational model.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of directly relevant experience, including comprehensive experience as a business/process leader or industry expert. One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law + 8 years; Master’s + 9 years; Associate’s degree + 11 years; High School + 12 years.
- 4-6 years of experience with Databricks, AWS, Apache Spark, Python, and PySpark.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $65.99 to $73.33 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors, including, but not limited t,o education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
